The TPS Fit Holiday Fitness Survival Guide 6

The TPS Fit Holiday Fitness Survival Guide

Ah, it’s Holiday time! A time of year when we tend to loosen the reigns a little and slack off with our workouts and healthy eating habits.

But wait…

…this year you promised yourself you weren’t going to go rogue on your active lifestyle habits! Keep tight and trim all over this holiday season without destroying all your year-long fitness gains.

Even though I personally don’t celebrate Christmas, I love this time of year. It’s all about family for me; my niece comes home from University and it just seems like a more laid back time. I even look forward to visiting with my Mother-in-law lol 😉

Hopefully for you it is also a time to kick back and enjoy some time with family and friends. Maybe you’ve even indulged a little at an office holiday party or your neighbour’s annual Yule tide party.

But, taking too wide of a detour from your regular clean eating and fitness routine could spell disaster and also do a number on your confidence and motivation, too.

Listen, I am all for a cheat meal or two each week (yes, I do eat McDonald’s and pizza too) as they are essentials parts to a healthy weight loss meal plan. Plus, I am all for letting loose around the Egg Nog and Christmas cookies but there are ways to indulge responsibly.

Before you get trapped in the mindset of, “whatever, I’ve gone so off track already I might as well cave in entirely and start again in January”, follow this holiday fitness survival guide to lighten up, have some fun but also keeping your hard earned gains and losses in tact.

I can pass on the cookies… it’s the wine and cocktails that are doing me in.
Trying to make sure I drink a glass or two of water for each other drink I consume…

It’s never, ever too late Divya! Start fresh right now and also be kind to yourself. Remember, it’s not the end of the world when we slip. But it is bad if we don’t get back up, dust ourselves off and try again 😉 You can do it!!!!! Heck if I can, so can you <3

Wow, congrats on your amazing weight loss achievement, Pamela!
Soda now and then isn’t all that bad, true!!
But daily, no matter how clean you eat, it’s not a part of a balanced lifestyle.
It all boils down to science and how your body deals with the processed food (or in this case drink haha). Since it is all poor quality ingredients in soda, the liver can’t handle it and seeing as it is also devoid of nutrition, your body stores it all as fat. You can’t out-train bad eating habits with exercise. I wish, though!!!!! 😉
